Itinerary

Day 1: Airport to Negombo

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to Negombo, a beautiful coastal city situated on the west coast of Sri Lanka. Check in at your hotel and spend the day relaxing by the beach, soaking up the sun, and exploring the local markets.
Day 2: Negombo to Sigiriya

After breakfast, head to Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient rock fortress. Climb to the top of the fortress for stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its beautiful cave paintings and Buddha statues.
Day 3: Sigiriya

Spend the day exploring Sigiriya further, visit the Pidurangala Rock, and hike to the top for more breathtaking views. In the evening, you can take a jeep safari in Minneriya National Park to see elephants and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
Day 4: Sigiriya to Anuradhapura

After breakfast, head to Anuradhapura, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and the ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Explore the ruins and marvel at the ancient stupas, palaces, and temples that date back to the 3rd century BC.
Day 5: Anuradhapura to Kandy

After breakfast, drive to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. On the way, stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its cave paintings and Buddha statues. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a sacred Buddhist temple that houses a tooth of the Buddha.
Day 6: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Take a scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque hill station surrounded by tea plantations and misty mountains. Spend the day exploring the town and visiting a tea factory to learn about Sri Lanka's famous Ceylon tea.
Day 7: Nuwara Eliya

Spend the day exploring Nuwara Eliya further, visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, and enjoy the cool climate and scenic views.
Day 8: Train to Ella from Nuwara Eliya

Take a scenic train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, a charming town surrounded by tea plantations and mountains. Spend the day exploring the town, hiking to Little Adam's Peak or Ella Rock, and visiting the Ravana Ella Falls.
Day 9: Ella to Udawalawa

After breakfast, drive to Udawalawa, a popular safari destination known for its elephant herds and other wildlife. Take a jeep safari in Udawalawa National Park to see elephants, leopards, and other animals in their natural habitat.
Day 10: Udawalawa

Spend the day exploring Udawalawa further and take another Jeep safari in the national park. You can also visit the Elephant Transit Home, a sanctuary for orphaned elephants, or take a scenic boat ride on the Udawalawa Reservoir.
Day 11: Udawalawa to hikkaduwa

After breakfast, drive to hikkaduwa, a beautiful coastal town known for its beaches and coral reefs. Spend the day relaxing by the beach, snorkeling or diving in the crystal-clear waters, and exploring the local markets.
Day 12 and 13: Hikkaduwa

Enjoy your time in Hikkaduwa by relaxing on the beach, taking a dip in the ocean, and exploring the town. Hikkaduwa is known for its vibrant coral reefs, so consider snorkelling or scuba diving to see the marine life up close. You can also visit the Hikkaduwa Turtle Hatchery to learn about sea turtle conservation efforts and even release some baby turtles into the ocean.
Day 14: Hikkaduwa to Airport

On your final day, you'll check out of your accommodation and make your way to the airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight time, you may have some free time in the morning to enjoy a final walk on the beach or purchase some last-minute souvenirs. From Hikkaduwa, it's approximately a 2.5-hour drive to the airport, so plan accordingly.
