Itinerary

Day 1: Airport to Yapahuwa

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your driver who will take you directly to Yapahuwa, a historical site located in the North Western province of Sri Lanka. Here, you can visit the Yapahuwa rock fortress, a place that holds great historical significance in Sri Lanka.
Day 2: Yapahuwa to Sigiriya

After breakfast, your journey continues to Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the central province of Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of the most iconic and impressive sites in Sri Lanka. You can also explore the local villages in the area and learn about traditional Sri Lankan village life.
Day 3: Sigiriya to Anuradhapura

In the morning, travel to Anuradhapura, one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka and another UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend the day exploring the ancient ruins and monuments, including the sacred Bo tree, one of the oldest living trees in the world.
Day 4: Anuradhapura to Kandy

Today, you will travel to Kandy, the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. Along the way, you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest cave temple complexes in Sri Lanka. In Kandy, you can visit the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred site that houses a relic of Buddha's tooth.
Day 5: Kandy Full Day

Today, you will have a full day to explore Kandy. You can visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, which is home to a variety of plant species, including some rare and endemic ones. You can also take a stroll around the Kandy Lake and visit the Kandy Cultural Center to learn about Sri Lankan culture and traditions.
Day 6: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, travel to Nuwara Eliya, located in the hill country of Sri Lanka. En route, you will visit the Ramboda Falls and tea plantations, which are synonymous with this area. Once you arrive in Nuwara Eliya, you can visit Victoria Park, which is a beautifully landscaped park, and take a leisurely walk around Lake Gregory.
Day 7: Nuwara Eliya (Ella) to Yala

After breakfast, you will take a scenic train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, enjoying breathtaking views of the tea plantations and hills. Upon arrival, your driver will take you to Yala National Park, where you can enjoy an evening game drive and spot wildlife such as elephants, leopards, and crocodiles.
Day 8: Yala Full Day

Today, you will have a full day to explore Yala National Park. You can enjoy a morning and evening game drive and spot more wildlife and bird species. You can also take a nature walk in the park and learn about the flora and fauna of the area.
Day 9: Yala to Mirissa

After breakfast, travel to Mirissa, a beautiful coastal town known for its stunning beaches and whale-watching tours. Upon arrival, you can relax on the beach or explore the town.
Day 10 and 11: Mirissa

Spend the next two days relaxing on the beach and enjoying the coastal scenery. You can also take a whale-watching tour, where you can spot blue whales, dolphins, and other marine life.
Day 12: Mirissa to Airport

You will depart from Mirissa and travel to the airport for your flight back home. Depending on your flight time, you may have some time to spend in Mirissa before leaving for the airport. You could visit the local beaches, explore the town, or go souvenir shopping. Make sure to pack your bags and check out of your hotel before heading out. From Mirissa, the drive to the airport takes approximately 2.5-3 hours, depending on traffic. It's best to leave Mirissa with plenty of time to spare to ensure you reach the airport on time for your flight.
